Crossfit Open 22.2 Workout is Posted

We are in the second week of three in the 2022 Crossfit Open, also know as 22.2. Whether you're registered and competing in the open, just doing the workouts, or cheering on your friends in the gym.....join us tomorrow for Friday Night Lights. Our theme for this week is Hawaiian Luau!


This week's workout focuses on two familiar movements for our Community. The Deadlift and the Bar Facing Burpee. The workout is capped at 10 minutes and athletes will work through a repetition series of of 1 - 10 and then back down to 1 (1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1).


The standards for this workout are straightforward. Crossfit has made note that gymnastics grips are not allowed during the workout. Which is just as well for safety purposes to protect your back and bicep. If you are doing this workout, remember to protect your back by maintaining proper form through your series of Deadlifts. Please take care as to not bounce the weight when performing multiple reps of the deadlift as this places unnecessary tension on your bicep tendon (elbow). Remember, the best workout....is a safe workout!
